Begins at 8:30 am
8:30 AM The Baraat (Groom’s Procession) The groom arrives with his family in a lively parade featuring Tassa drums and dancing.
9:00 AM Wedding Ceremony The official Hindu wedding ceremony begins under the Mandap. This includes the Kanyadaan, Mangal Phera (sacred fire), and Saptapadi (seven steps).
11:30 AM Blessings & Photos The ceremony concludes. Guests offer their blessings to the newlyweds, followed by formal family portraits.
12:30 PM Traditional Wedding Lunch A traditional vegetarian wedding lunch is served to all guests at the ceremony location.
The traditional Hindu ceremony begins promptly at 9:00 AM. We recommend arriving by 8:30 AM to enjoy the Baraat—the groom’s high-energy processional led by the tassa drums—as he is officially welcomed by the bride’s family.
The evening begins at 4:00 PM with a social hour on the terrace featuring signature punch and a selection of Guyanese and Italian appetizers. At 5:00 PM, the open bar will begin, and we will be at the entrance to personally welcome each of you before we move into the ballroom for dinner and dancing!
Following the morning ceremony and a traditional wedding lunch, there will be a brief intermission. This is a great time to relax and refresh before the evening festivities. The doors to the Italian hall will open at 4:00 PM for cocktails on the terrace.
